"Please allow me to guide you to the mansion..."

Shannon turned her back to the family and led the way up to the mansion while hiding her saddened face. He did not come again this year either... She clung onto the hope that he would, but just as her hopes were dashed again, there was news. Kyrie had talked to him and the bad taste between father and son were changing ever so slightly to the best.

The girl was relieved. Surely there will come a day when he will come back to the island. He promised her that he would. It was then she decided that her resolve won't waver anymore even if for these past three years she had felt saddened and resentful, but... it was something she needed.

It must have been a sign from God that he must be rooting for her.

She closed her eyes and prayed in her heart for God to give her a gift to show that her three years of waiting was not in vain. Though as she wished this, her seemingly predetermined fate was altered and given a new path--one that did not lead toward the tragedy of 1986.

The maid opened her eyes her prayer, but found herself not in the correct position. She was sprawled out in the ground instead of standing like a few moments ago. It was then she sat up and glanced around in confused state.

Where was the mansion? The beach? The sound of the seagulls had gone deaf to her ears.

By her right arm was a small device. It was something she had never laid eyes upon. She decided to inspect it even if it was dangerous. Perhaps it was a way to return back to Rokkenjima or at least shed some light on these new circumstances.

_{[ The video feed slowly starts up as the girl brushes the dirt off her uniform. It was better than sitting around and she had a better view from where she sat. Being satisfied with her cleaning, she turned towards her new discovery. She leaned towards the lens as if trying to spot something that would help her grasp the device's function. ]}

...Huh? W-What is... Is it blinking? ...A red light?

_{[ A confused face etched upon her face as she tried to distinguish this blinking red light. Though, shortly it dawned upon her as she inched away ever so slightly with a reddened, embarrassed face. ]}

...T-This couldn't be a camera like those on the television could it? _{... Auu...}

Does this mean what I'm saying right now is being recorded?...

A-Ah! Um... What do I do?

Well, let's see... I think he's about 16, his hair is dark and he's pretty skinny. Though that's still broad, isn't it? He comes off as antisocial, he's always very blank and does exactly what he's told - he seems to take being a servant quite seriously. Which is all well and good, but those of us who are just visitors would like to see him come out of his shell. But maybe it's just his age, Battler mentioned that it's a tough time for boys, which I can see being very true.

Hmm... Well, he sounds interesting. If he takes being a servant seriously t-then he probably made a good servant. I do not recall someone like that at the house, but maybe I'll recognize him if they talk to me.

I hope that doesn't mean he's new at the house...

He certainly is good at it, but sometimes it sounds like that's all he aspires to, or rather, that he doesn't think himself capable of anything else.

Well... if so, I think he would be a great little brother to me then...

Um... well that sounds so sad, I-I would think tending to the cousins would influence him or something... Or is he much too busy with work?... Auu...

He seems to be quite closed, it's unfortunate... I'm sure if he were to open up even slightly, enough to hold a short conversation, the other children would influence him enough, or bring him around.

...I suppose you're right. So um has anyone tried to get him to socialize with others...?

Oh, yes, of course. But, there's another case of Natsuhi-neesan getting in the way, with how strict she is, she likely ruins any progress that may be made.

...Oh well that is unfortunate... So um... from the sound of it, Natsuhi-sama hasn't really changed that much?...

[giggle] No, not in the least. If anything, she's worse.
