"Please allow me to guide you to the mansion..."

Shannon turned her back to the family and led the way up to the mansion while hiding her saddened face. He did not come again this year either... She clung onto the hope that he would, but just as her hopes were dashed again, there was news. Kyrie had talked to him and the bad taste between father and son were changing ever so slightly to the best.

The girl was relieved. Surely there will come a day when he will come back to the island. He promised her that he would. It was then she decided that her resolve won't waver anymore even if for these past three years she had felt saddened and resentful, but... it was something she needed.

It must have been a sign from God that he must be rooting for her.

She closed her eyes and prayed in her heart for God to give her a gift to show that her three years of waiting was not in vain. Though as she wished this, her seemingly predetermined fate was altered and given a new path--one that did not lead toward the tragedy of 1986.

The maid opened her eyes her prayer, but found herself not in the correct position. She was sprawled out in the ground instead of standing like a few moments ago. It was then she sat up and glanced around in confused state.

Where was the mansion? The beach? The sound of the seagulls had gone deaf to her ears.

By her right arm was a small device. It was something she had never laid eyes upon. She decided to inspect it even if it was dangerous. Perhaps it was a way to return back to Rokkenjima or at least shed some light on these new circumstances.

_{[ The video feed slowly starts up as the girl brushes the dirt off her uniform. It was better than sitting around and she had a better view from where she sat. Being satisfied with her cleaning, she turned towards her new discovery. She leaned towards the lens as if trying to spot something that would help her grasp the device's function. ]}

...Huh? W-What is... Is it blinking? ...A red light?

_{[ A confused face etched upon her face as she tried to distinguish this blinking red light. Though, shortly it dawned upon her as she inched away ever so slightly with a reddened, embarrassed face. ]}

...T-This couldn't be a camera like those on the television could it? _{... Auu...}

Does this mean what I'm saying right now is being recorded?...

A-Ah! Um... What do I do?

[ Ange recognizes that face - even if it has been that many years, she still remembers in from that long ago on Rokkenjima. Except this time - contrary to the time she had greeted her mother during her arrival in Demeleier - she remembers the time difference and makes sure to not dump that on the girl before the explanation. ]

That's right, all of that just now was recorded. You can talk to other people here that way. [ Her tone is rather deadpan. If there was any surprise before, she's not showing it now. ]

_{[ There was no one around her so where was that voice coming from? Was it God? No, it couldn't be. Shannon glanced around once more before turning back to the communicator to see a face that was not there a minute ago. ]}

Oh, um... Hello there.

_{[ She let out a nervous laugh, feeling more embarrassed than usual. Though, this girl looked familiar, but she can never guess that the little child she had just seen would grow up to be that girl. ]}

Hey. [ She manages to get that out pretty casually as well, giving a small shrug. ]

If you're wondering what happened to you, I can sort of explain, even if the story is a little ridiculous. You got taken to this village called Demeleier by fairies.

F-Fairies you say? _{[ she blinks ]} Wow... That sounds interesting actually. _{Auu... I wonder of Kumasawa has heard of fairies whisking people off...}

If you're willing to believe in fairies, then I guess that makes the whole story a lot easier already. [ She idly brushes back some of her hair as she speaks. ]

They're not really like the conventional kind from storybooks though, they're a bit more ferocious than that. But as long as you stay in the village it should be fine most of the time-- the village is about a ten minute walk from the temple where you probably arrived.

M...More ferocious you say...? Oh my, the books I have read said that they were nice, but can be t-tricksters. Although.... I have only really read mystery novels...

[ the face is recognizable to Bernkastel as well... no, was it ever an easy face to forget? The seed of tragedy, the first piece needed for that entertaining game, that maudlin story of hers... Shannon might just be the first furniture to remain so memorable for a witch like herself. ]

... This isn't a television show. If it was, it wouldn't be a very entertaining one.

'83? Yes, I'm from 1986...also the conference, at the end. It's not a significant change, but three years at your age do make a difference.
